LOS TACOS No. 1 is an expanding restaurant group with multiple locations in Manhattan serving Mexican tacos in a vibrant atmosphere.

The company started after three close friends from Tijuana, Mexico and Brawley, CA realized the need for truly authentic Mexican tacos on the East Coast.

Who We're Looking For

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure costeffective sourcing of highquality ingredients and supplies.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers/vendors based on quality, price, reliability, and service.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
  • Manage inventory levels to optimize stock levels while minimizing waste and excess inventory.
  • Communicate with kitchen staff and management on systems and processes that should be followed.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and product innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies in all purchasing activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor communications.
  • Oversee the receiving process to ensure accuracy and quality control of incoming goods.
  • Resolve any purchasingrelated issues or discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Highly organized with files, documents, and projects.
  • Strong vendor communication skills addressing issues and concerns of the organization.
  • Being proactive with addressing internal and external discrepancies.
  • Detail oriented with reviewing invoices, Purchase Orders and vendor agreements
  • Understanding of basic culinary concepts that are applicable to the business.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or similar role in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage products, suppliers, and market trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite and inventory management platforms
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Available to work a Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday schedule
  • NYC DOH Food Handler certificate preferred

Compensation & Benefits
This position will have a base annual salary in the range of $70K to 80K.

In addition, this position will be eligible for the following benefits:

$70, $80,000.00 per year
