The UF Division of Hematology and Oncology is aligned with, and our faculty are members of, the UF Health Cancer Center, providing novel clinical research, innovative treatments, and compassionate care for individuals facing all types of cancer and hematologic diseases.

News & World Report's ranked UF Health Shands Hospital among the nation's Top 10 in 5 adult and 5 pediatric specialties.

UF Health Shands Hospital also regionally ranked #3 in Florida and recognized in northern Florida as #1 in for children and #8 in southeast for children.

UF Health Shands Hospital was also listed as "high performing" in 16 procedures and 3 adult specialties.


Resources available for professional development at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center include leadership, education, and research training through support from the UF Health Cancer Center, Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI), formal mentorship programs, and supported opportunities for teaching and research.

Clinical research support is provided by the UF Health Cancer Center Clinical Research Office.

Requisite attributes include a commitment to service, good verbal and written communication skills, a strong sense of teamwork and a desire to train tomorrow's doctors.

Applicants must be board-certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and be eligible for a Florida Medical License.


The Gainesville area has superb weather, inexpensive cost-of-living, nationally ranked public schools, and multiple year-round indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities.

Tenure accruing and non-tenure accruing tracks are available. Rank and tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications.


Expected Salary:

Salary is negotiable, commensurate with education and experience.


Minimum Requirements:
