Job Description:
The Omni Richmond Hotel is hiring for a reliable, friendly individual to join our team as a Bellperson.
In this role, the individual will be responsible for greeting guests, transferring and storing guest luggage, responding to guest requests and delivering outstanding guest service.
This role provides assistance and services to guests in order to ensure that their arrival and departure experience is pleasurable and informative.
FULL-TIME
PAY RATE:
$8.00 + TIPS
Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Greeting and escorting arriving and departing guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Organizing, storing, retrieving and transporting guest luggage, as needed, according to guidelines.
- Responding to guest inquiries and requests; Be knowledgeable about all hotel amenities and daily events
- Assisting in the maintenance, appearance and functionality of equipment to include the bell carts, property designated vehicles, etc.
- Watching for safety hazards and report them immediately to your Supervisor/Manager.
- Attending all mandatory Department and Hotel meetings.
- Completing all required training within timeframe allotted.
- Acting in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures as required.
- Performing other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the front drive and lobby area.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Previous experience as a Bell Attendant/Driver in a hotel/resort preferred
- Able to demonstrate high energy and a passion to serve
- Able to work with little or no supervision
- Able to work as part of a team
- Must meet and maintain Omni's Standards of Appearance expectations
- Possesses strong attention to detail
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, such as repetitive movements, lifting up to 50 lbs, and walking/standing for extended periods of time.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
