Food & Product Delivery Driver/ Warehouse Associate

Nutrition Manager


GENERAL

The job of Food & Product Delivery Driver/ Warehouse Associate is to provide support to the Food Service Manager at the assigned Just a Dash school site location with the specific responsibilities of loading, delivering and unloading prepared foods and food containers to various sites according to the prearranged schedule.

All deliveries and in compliance with state and Federal policies, procedures, rules, regulations and guidelines. As well as providing quality customer service to both internal and external customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transporting and delivering goods and/or items to clients or sites in a safe, timely manner
• Examining and/or reviewing orders before and after delivery to make sure that orders are complete, correct, and clients are satisfied
• Helping with the loading and unloading of materials from the delivery vehicle
• Building and maintaining a healthy relationship with clients by answering any questions they may have and handling their complaints
• Rescheduling deliveries with clients if they are unable to receive them
• Completing and submitting logs and reports.
• Load and unload containers, hot carts and utensils and make proper distribution.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse food, paper goods and frozen food storage areas; shelve, store and rotate supplies.
• Assist with cleaning vehicle equipment and trucks.
• Regular driving under all types of weather conditions.
• Maintenance of the delivery cargo trucks.
• Maintain daily mileage and maintenance logs.
• Assist with inventories. In addition to delivery of prepared foods, may count and record daily lunch tallies.
• Communicate all customer/delivery issues effectively.
• Additional duties as requested, NOT LIMITED TO THE AFOREMENTIONED DUTIES.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid Driver's License


Other:
Possession of a valid and appropriate Driver's. Good standing/acceptable driving record.

Qualify for insurability by insurance carrier.

Possess a clean driving record

SKILLS & ABILITIES


Physical Requirements:

Heavy work - lifting and/or carrying objects up to 80 pounds with frequent lifting or carrying objects weighing up to pounds.

Ability to bend, stoop, grasp and reach. Work in area of extreme temperature change. Regular driving under all types of weather conditions.

Ability to meet the following physical demands:
significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling
