    Description
    Job Title: Homeless Peer Specialist Worker

    Company: City of Miami Beach

    Salary: Biweekly compensation of $3,046.40

    Location: Miami Beach, FL

    Job Type: Part-time and Full-time Vacancies

    Department: Homeless Outreach Services

    Nature of Work
    • Identify program participants with the support team
    • Engage with unsheltered homeless population regularly
    • Build rapport, assess needs and provide action plans
    • Assist with housing, life-skills training, employment assistance, and more
    • Accompany and support participants to appointments and housing visits
    • Update program documentation accurately and timely
    • Participate in community events and outreach activities
    • Minimum Requirements:
      • Bilingual in English and Spanish
      • Strong interpersonal skills
      • Experience with homelessness and substance abuse
      • Driver's license required
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Effective communication and interaction skills
    • Ability to operate office equipment
    • Various physical activities may be involved

    • Regular and punctual attendance required
    • Ability to develop creative solutions
