- Review project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial and residential electrical projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Analyze project scope, identify potential risks and opportunities, and propose value engineering solutions.
- Obtain competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers for materials, equipment, and services.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals, including breakdowns of labor, materials, equipment, and other costs.
- Present estimates to clients, participate in negotiations, and address any questions or concerns.
- Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process and provide updates to stakeholders as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and local building codes and regulations.
- At least two years experience as an Electrical Estimator in both commercial and residential construction.
- Field Electrical experience
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards applicable to both sectors.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting commercial and residential blueprints, specifications, and technical electrical documents.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in estimating software
