Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
  • Implement acquisition skills, maintenance skills and behavioral plan developed by the BCBA.
  • Collect data accurately.
  • Run skill acquisition programs with clients using Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal behavior.
  • Follow and complete all programs as directed by the BCBA.
  • Write daily notes at the end of each session.
  • Attend training as requested.
  • Understand behavioral situations and react accordingly in an ethical manner
  • Objectively analyze crisis situations.
  • Able to deescalate and handle problem behaviors.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations.
  • Communicate effectively and make recommendations to BCBA.
  • Work with a diverse team of professionals in a respectful manner.
  • Maintain professional communication skills with clients and clients' loved ones.
  • Coordinate with parents scheduling inhome sessions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Using computer software related programs.
  • Read and adhere by DevelopMeant's policy and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with individuals with ASD or other developmental disabilities is a plus
  • Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior intervention plans effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping individuals with special needs
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Skills:


  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
  • Familiarity with data collection methods and behavior tracking software
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to think on your feet
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of clients
