- Develops and implements a comprehensive medical treatment plan addressing biological, psychological, and sociocultural aspects.
- Conducts physical assessments of patients in a systematic and respectful manner.
- Prescribes medical treatments and medications to patients.
- Obtains essential and accurate information by reviewing relevant records and conducting interviews with patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Notifies the attending physician and adheres to policy co-signatures.
- Reports any unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or supply deficiencies to the appropriate personnel.
- Records all Quality Assurance (QA) incidents, such as medication errors, following departmental protocols.
- Takes charge of enhancing knowledge and skills through participation in continuing education programs.
- Makes well-informed decisions regarding interventions based on patient data, preferences, latest scientific evidence, and clinical expertise.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with federal and state regulations.
