ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Cook Supervisor position will be located in our commissary kitchen setting. This person will be responsible for executing the daily/weekly menu to company recipe specifications and the day to day operations of the commissary. Main responsibilities will be: preparing exciting and engaging meals following Genuine recipes, leading a team of cooks, managing daily prep and ensuring all food safety & sanitation standards are being met.

Ensure food safety standards are being followed at all times
Cook and prep food correctly based on recipes and specifications provided from the Chef/Genuine Foods
Communicate with the PKM and/or RAM on any pertinent issues with product, staffing, timing, etc.
Manage cooks and assistant supervisors to ensure they are following proper Genuine standards, recipes, etc while providing guidance and training.
Act as the lead in the absence of the PKM.
Maintains standards as outlined by the Department of Health for a food safe environment and reports immediately any issues such as equipment or facilitates related.
Coordinate with team members to ensure all food is prepared on time for delivery.
Maintain a clean working environment and help the team with any additional cleaning duties.
Keep the area stocked and organized.
Perform any additional duties as assigned

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be flexible & team-oriented
3+ year of line cook or culinary experience
1+ year of management experience
Willingness to learn the compliance requirements of the USDA National School Lunch Program.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic and level headedness.
Punctual and able to adhere to the time and attendance policy.
Able to climb stairs and lift up 50 lbs.
Interest in and committed to Genuine Foods' mission to use food to help students enhance their minds, bodies and happiness.
Must be able to work in a school environment.
