- Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day production operations to meet production targets and deadlines, ensuring maximum output, efficiency, and quality.
- Develop and implement production strategies, schedules, and processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness, utilizing lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other best practices.
- Ensure strict compliance with cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulations, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and safety protocols.
- Manage, motivate, and lead a team of production supervisors, operators, technicians, and other personnel, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Research & Development, and Maintenance, to resolve production issues, improve processes, and ensure product consistency and safety.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics, such as throughput, efficiency, waste, and costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions through root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, work-in-progress, and finished products to optimize production, minimize waste, and meet customer demand.
- Prepare and present regular production reports to senior management and other stakeholders, communicating performance, issues, and improvement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee development, and safety, while managing relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality materials and supplies.
- Develop and manage production budgets, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
- Participate in the development and launch of new products, including the establishment of production processes, equipment requirements, and quality standards.
- Manage the hiring, performance evaluation, and disciplinary action of production staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GMP regulations, FDA guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Proven track record of leading and managing production teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software systems, such as MES and ERP.
