We are looking for a dedicated and passionate **Educator** to design and execute engaging activities that foster the holistic development of each child - social, emotional, cognitive, and physical - aligning with the Primrose Balanced Learning methodology.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage a group of children, ensuring their well-being and daily classroom operations.
  • Adhere to all regulations of Primrose School of Aldie and relevant local, state, or national authorities concerning children's health, safety, and welfare.
  • Continuously assess each child's developmental progress.
  • Execute approved lesson plans and daily schedules following the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to organize parent-teacher conferences and student assessments.
  • Maintain an inviting and organized classroom that empowers children to be creative, inquisitive, and decisive.
  • Offer positive reinforcement while setting clear and consistent behavioral expectations for the children.
  • Take charge of classroom upkeep and necessary cleaning tasks, including common areas and playgrounds.
  • Attend mandatory meetings, workshops, and school events.
  • Uphold a polished and professional appearance following the guidelines in the Primrose School of Aldie Employee Handbook.
  • Assist in any other roles deemed necessary by the Director or assigned personnel.

Desired skills and experience:
  • Meet the basic qualifications set by the local child care regulatory agency.
  • Previous experience in teaching or assisting in a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
  • Understanding of the social, emotional, and creative requirements of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for child-related activities, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
  • For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, proficiency in handling and lifting infants in and out of cribs is essential.
  • **Preschool Teachers**: A 2-year degree in early childhood or a related field is preferred.

  • **Pre-Kindergarten Teachers**: A 4-year degree in early childhood or a related field is required.
