About the Position:
The Administrative Support Coordinator I executes and facilitates a wide range of operational processes and procedures to assure the effective functioning of the Kinesiology department (KNES), its programs, and its events.
The position also supports the coordination of the day-to-day operations of the Kinesiology and Health Science (KHS) joint complex and associated centers and institutes.
The person in this position collaborates with the Kinesiology department chair in matters related to the scheduling of courses for Kinesiology, coordinating personnel matters for Kinesiology instructors/graduate assistants (including preparing contracts), coordinating Kinesiology budget activities (including procurement, requisitions, accounts monitoring, and travel), maintaining databases and creating reports, coordinating Kinesiology graduate program inquiries, admissions process, preparing reports, other administrative needs, and leading Kinesiology event planning/coordination.
The person in this position will also support the coordination of Public Health and Kinesiology department joint projects (including events), support the coordination of maintenance for the Kinesiology and Health Science complex facilities and equipment, and serve as backup timekeeper for the Kinesiology and Health joint complex and backup to the Administrative Support Coordinator for the Public Health (PUBH) department.
The position requires collaboration with other departments and offices within the college and campus and handling multiple work priorities simultaneously.
The person hired may be eligible to participate in the college's telecommuting program. Other duties as assigned.Essential Qualifications
