Position Description
This position is an Emergency Response and Incident Command System expert and is conversant with Marine Insurance matters.

As an industry expert in ICS, the Marine Casualty Project Manager/USCG Liaison delivers personalized service to our leading Marine Casualty clients.

This job requires leadership to navigate dynamic situations to ensure each job achieves our client's stratification.

In addition, this position supports estimating, overseeing, and managing Marine Casualty projects, assisting with bids and proposals, client maintenance, and business development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coast Guard Liaison
  • Develop and maintain contacts with Coast Guard personnel
  • Schedule and attend meet and greet events at Sectors and Other Commands
  • Attend and participate in industry conferences/trade shows
  • Identify opportunities for project proposals, attend site visits, and coordinate with management to prepare and submit proposals
  • Coordinate Basic Ordering Agreement updates Serve as Project Manager/Liaison in established Command Posts
  • Marine Casualty Project Manager
  • Lead all contract negotiations & change order identification and negotiations.
  • Coordinate selfperformed and subcontracted work activities with the onsite Salvage Master or Superintendent.
  • Identify opportunities for project proposals, attend site visits, and coordinate with management to prepare and submit proposals

  • Review the critical path schedule daily.
  • Prepare and update project schedules.
  • Work with Project Accountants to monitor daily costs and production of timely invoicing.
  • Produce Daily Operations Report
  • Serve as primary contact for the client or Contracting Officer
  • Lead the process for submittals and reporting documentation as required by the owner and public agencies, including USCG, DOE, EPA, or other state and local agencies.
  • Incident Command
  • Integrate into the Command structure in an appropriate role
  • Serve as point of contact for FOSCR, ICS Commander, Finance Section Chief, and Strike Force
  • Coordinate all contracting matters, including finance tracking
  • Provide comprehensive daily reporting to stakeholders

Qualifications / Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in the industry
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Valid Auto insurance
  • Experience in Emergency Response
  • Experience with Incident Command System (ICS)
  • Experience with Marine Insurance and Underwriting
  • Excellent in verbal, written, and electronic communications.
  • Excellent computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to participate in all phases of the estimating and bidding process
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with members of the office and operational staff

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4year degree (preferred)

Physical / Mental Requirements

  • Perform work in office and field settings
  • Be available after hours and on weekends (as needed)
  • Ability to successfully pass a preemployment drug test and a background check

Schedule

  • Schedule:
  • Office: Monday-Friday, 7 am3:30 pm
  • Field: Varies
  • Travel 4060%, domestic, with the potential for international.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000, with an uplift of $250 to $350 per day when working in the field on billable jobs.
  • The actual base compensation offered will be determined based on multiple factors, including relevant skills and experience.
