- At least three to four years of related HR experience.
- Hospitality experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Federal and State employment regulatory bodies.
- Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
- Agility and flexibility for a rapidly changing environment.
- Research and analytical skills related to cost, effectiveness, and utilization of company benefits.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Assists in administering foreign employment contracts, payroll time, benefits, and compliance with International compliance pay and benefits laws.
- Lead multiple Open Enrollment processes and ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Partner with the Director of HR in reviewing and selecting benefits plans with the applicable COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA provisions.
- Assist employees with:
- Benefits, claim issues, 401k plans, return-to-work process, FMLA, workers comp, enrollment, onboarding, termination, PTO
- Collaborate with HR team on:
- 401k compliance, training, employee file audits, and benefit payment reconciliations, integrations
- Monitor ACA dashboard and inform managers and employees of potential changes to their ACA status.
- Escalate HR matters appropriately to the Director of Human Resources to ensure timely, compliant and professional responses are consistently held to Hogsalt's standards.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about upholding Hogsalt's values of accountability and resilience. As a key member of the HR team,the Benefits Specialist spearheads the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, commuter benefits, and 401(k) plans. In addition, this position oversees processes related to leaves of absence, paid and unpaid time off, and regulatory leaves in multiple locations and states.
