La Mozzarella is a family owned and operated Italian import company, looking to bring on an additional delivery driver for our expanding business.

We've provided fine Italian Mozzarella to the greater Chicagoland area for over 20 years. Our operation has expanded throughout the country, and our goal is to continue to grow and enter new markets.

Delivery Driver Job Responsibilities:

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Delivers high-quality products to our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner

Establishes and maintains outstanding relations with customers.

Reviews and verifies invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy.

Inspects delivery vehicles and ensures the safety and security of the loading and unloading process.

Determines placement of merchandise, follows safety and lifting protocols during deliveries, and conducts safety reviews.

Ensure the proper handling and storage of cheeses during transit to maintain freshness and quality

Communicating with dispatchers, drivers and other team members to make deliveries

Meeting delivery deadlines and following route assignments

Loading and unloading product on arrival to warehouse and daily on truck for assigned route

Follow directions and arrive at requested start times

Obtaining client or customer signatures

Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse and vehicle

Properly store and rotate all product daily


Delivery Driver Qualifications / Skills:

A passion for Italian cuisine and appreciation for high-quality cheeses is desirable.

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

Preferably have familiarity with local streets, neighborhoods, and routes

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition

Highly responsible & reliable

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work cohesively as part of a team


Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent desired

Valid driver's license

Ability to follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices

Clean driving record, able to pass a DMV check.

Be at least 21 years of age

At least 1 year experience in a delivery position

Ability to safely lift and carry heavy loads, as some cheeses may be weighty.

Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus


Pay and Benefits:

$18-$21 an hour based on experience

Weekends off
