- Fundamental understanding of SATCOM principles and techniques.
- Thorough understanding of Internet Protocol networking principles and concepts.
- Thorough understanding of various IP transmission data (TCP, UDP, etc...)
- Working knowledge of military satellite systems.
- Working knowledge of commercial SATCOM systems.
- Experience with Frequency Division Multiple Access, Multi-Frequency Time Division Multiple Access and Internet Protocol Modems (specifically I-Direct and Linkway is desirable).
- Strong multi-tasking and communication skills.
- Cisco and Juniper router experience is highly desirable.
- Riverbed (or related) network optimization/management equipment experience is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's Degree + 2 years relevant experience, or will accept 6+ years equivalent Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) code in lieu of Degree
- Active DOD Secret Clearance
- Ability to Travel 50% of time
- Active U.S. Passport for Potential OCONUS Travel

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
SkyBridge Tactical is looking for a highly skilled SATCOM Engineer to support Modernization, Technical Fielding, Readiness and Support to United States Army Command, C5ISR, and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Systems
Responsibilities:
Execute engineering activities as they relate to space-based equipment. Including but not limited to development of SATCOM system requirements, engineering plans and test plans; expansion of SATCOM based architectures and frameworks (i.e. operational views, structural views); creation of test plans and procedures; supporting technology working groups and integrated product teams.
Extensive knowledge and expertise in system architecture, planning, design, engineering, network management, operations. Background in supporting of medium to large multi-services enterprise IP networks which cover a regional/global geography utilizing military and commercial SATCOM teleport and gateway nodes and infrastructure.
