POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Manager of Content Strategy is responsible for planning, creating and overseeing KidStrong content.
The right person will work cross-functionally with our marketing, product and operations teams to create content frameworks that align with our company objectives and resonate with our target audience.
This role involves a 60/40 split between establishing and implementing a companywide content strategy and writing content, and managing projects and freelancers.
We are looking for a naturally creative person who is passionate about creating high-quality content that helps people see the KidStrong vision.
Our audience is full of passionate, go-getters so the right candidate needs to match and exceed that energy to be successful.
This is a hybrid role (32+ hours/week in-office) and not a fully remote position.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that considers all owned channels and is aligned with company goals and target audience
Work with Director of Brand to create and maintain Voice and Tone Guidelines and technical application guides for identified tones
Deliver high-quality content that is on-brand and educates, entertains and engages with our target audience.
Create and maintain an editorial calendar, ensuring content is delivered consistently and on schedule
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the KidStrong Brand, our products and our audiences to implement effective marketing content
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, incorporating them into content strategies
Manage and supervise content projects from beginning to end
Manage a team of copywriting freelancers and agencies as needed
Manage the distribution of content through various channels, including websites, social media, email marketing and third-party platforms
Community management:
engage with the target audience through content, interaction, comments and sharing. Monitor and respond to audience feedback and comments
Monitor content performance and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in business, management, marketing, or a related field OR commensurate experience
Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
6+ years of proven experience as a Content Manager or similar role, with a strong portfolio of content projects
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and familiarity with SEO principles is a plus
Demonstrated experience implementing a content strategy to strengthen brand position and drive stronger customer acquisition
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills
Experience with content marketing tools and analytics platforms
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and brand development
SPHERE OF INTERACTION:
The Content Manager will report directly to the Director of Brand This position will work closely with the entire KidStrong, Inc.
