Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Manager Production Planning Scheduling 2 in Annapolis, Maryland to support the Undersea Systems organization.
In Annapolis, our technical and business leaders develop and manufacture advanced underwater systems, sensors, and vehicles designed to excel in volatile and ever-changing undersea environments.
The Manager Production Planning Scheduling will oversee a team of Production/Material Control personnel who expedite materials, parts and services required to produce units and assemblies.
What You'll Get to Do:
Plans and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material through production and inventory processes
Plans, prepares, issues and controls MRP and production schedules to ensure a controlled release and flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
Confirms material supply and demands, releases work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
3+ years of demonstrated leadership skills and abilities as evidenced by prior experience leading a team, project or in a supervisory role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic qualifications plus 5+ years of SAP MRP experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Salary Range:
$108,900 - $163,300
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
