Description

The Diaspora project is looking for a Software Developer Assistant with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computing. In this role, you will contribute to the development of computational frameworks that enable AI-driven detection of multi-messenger transients. You will also be expected to conduct research at the interface of AI, federated learning, and distributed computing. Along with writing and publishing papers, and present key results at premier conferences.

Position Requirements

RD1: A Bachelor's and Master's in Computer Science or similar field.
Expertise in AI and high performance computing, software development, and federated learning.
Ability to model Argonne's core values of impact, safety, respect, integrity, and teamwork.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with other scientists.
Ability to present at conferences regarding their research.
Effective write and publish research papers.
