Description
This will be a 2nd Shift Weeknight position with a 4/10 schedule. Shift differential will be applicable for this position.POSITION SUMMARYPlans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPlans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
Advises Project Manager of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
Confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
Education:
Desired:
Degree in Aviation or Business Administration
Experience:
Generally 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
Experience with Quantum preferred.
Experience in similar activities ( planning or production planning)
Knowledge:
Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles and practices in their work assignments which typically are moderately complex in nature.
Aircraft production environmentProject Management Skills:
Proficiency with planning practices and tools Strong organizational skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Utilization of Lean Production conceptsAbilities:Data analysis and consolidationWorking Conditions / Environment/ Special RequirementsAbility to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR "Respirator Protection" regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
