General Summary:


The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for inbound and/or outbound customer shipments while leading a group of Warehouse Specialists in the respective department.

This is a production-based environment where the Lead is responsible for the for the safety, quality, and performance for their area.


Responsibilities:


  • Train and Develop associates to increase knowledge and flexibility of the team
  • Work with the Supervisor on continuous improvement of processes and procedures by conducting real time observations on the floor
  • Collect and interpret data to help make real time decisions
  • Receive/Lot/Stow/Pick/Pack all inbound and outbound customer shipments, including customer pick up, LTL freight and other freight shipments
  • Coordinate all incoming and outgoing freight
  • Perform inventory management
  • Plan the timing, space, and setup for the work area with forecasted work
  • Operate stand up and sitdown forklifts (if certified)
  • Adhere to customer pick up schedule and ensure all shipments are prepared timely and accurately
  • Photograph product for use on our website
  • Actively participate in Safety Program
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


  • High School Diploma/GED preferred. Work experience may be substituted for education requirement
  • 2+ years warehouse experience required
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Team Lead in a Warehouse preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment is required
  • Repetitive motion tasks may be required
  • Must meet OSHA safety sensitive task requirements, vision, hearing, and restrictive medication requirements
  • Should be familiar with and capable of operating standard office equipment (company computer, photocopier, etc.) and warehouse equipment (manual pallet jack, dock leveler, etc.); some lifting (up to 50 pounds) may be required

Skills/Abilities:


  • Ability to be certified to drive stand up and sitdown forklifts (if applicable)
  • General computer skills required including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet use
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to followthrough on tasks
  • Good organizational skills
  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment that is constantly changing
  • Demonstrate a high degree of awareness of safety, accuracy, and productivity
  • Good interpersonal and customer communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend pick tickets, receiving slips, and instructions in English
  • Ability to work independently or in group setting, with little supervision
  • Must be able to do basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to manage and resolve conflicts
  • Must be trustworthy, honest, customercentric individuals with the desire to work hard to support common goals

Work Conditions/ Physical Demands:


Work is performed in the warehouse setting where individuals may be exposed to loud noise levels, vibration, chemicals, dust, mechanical hazards, and moving objects or other vehicles.

May be exposed to cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, and hazardous physical substances and fumes. May interact with employees and the public while performing job duties.


Must possess the mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory.

Must possess the strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio.

The job involves standing for long periods, walking, and working on surfaces that may be uneven or become slippery. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and may climb to perform work.

Individuals must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.

Must be able to wear closed toe shoes while onsite.
