    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Senior Finance Transportation Analyst is an integral part of the Distribution and Transportation team. This role will be responsible for creating monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, analyzing variances, and reporting monthly results. Will also support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects and drive process simplifications within finance and operations.

    In addition, the position will have full functional working knowledge of the Transportation Management System (TMS) and support the Transportation Teams use of it.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ownership of transportation and duty weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting
    • Assist in month-end close process and perform variances analysis compared to forecast and standard cost
    • Lead development of annual operating plan and monthly forecasts
    • Assist in various ad hoc analyses and reporting related to the financial performance and continuous improvement
    • Identify and lead financial and operational process improvement and cost saving opportunities
    • Responsible for cost savings analysis and tracking
    • Maintain Freight and Duty tables in ERP system and lead annual Freight and Duty Standards roll up
    • Provide Transportation analytical support and recommendations to internal partners to improve overall logistics effectiveness, while optimizing distribution and transportation spend
    • Interface with distribution centers, manufacturing, suppliers and planning to define future state material flow, distribution and transportation requirements
    • Participate in cross functional or cross-OpCo teams where representation from GPG transportation is needed
    • Utilize data to identify insights, opportunities, and provide inputs for strategic transportation supply chain requirements.
    • Produce freight allowance studies, maintain corporate freight allowance tables, as well as produce and distribute required supporting documentation
    • Work with Transportation Leadership to streamline and produce monthly KPIs and on demand reports from SAP, TMS, or respective Data Source
    • Assist Transportation Operations team with functional TMS activities when necessary

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors Degree in Finance and/or Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration is required
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Analysis is required
    • Requires data analytics experience to successfully organize, analyze, and interpret data to identify opportunities and influence stakeholders
    • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills as well as good problem-solving skills
    • Must be skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP.
    • Knowledge and understanding of Transportation Management Systems.
    • Must have proven organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and multi-task efficiently in a cross-functional, fast pace team environment
    • Ability to work independently as needed
    • Must be self-motivating and have the ability to meet assigned deadlines, and perform in high-pressured situations
    • Up to 10% domestic travel
