Performs duties as a Health Unit Coordinator and as a CNA. Responsible for providing secretarial support for all employees.
Responsibilities:
+ Maintains and updates patients' records + Performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse + Assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating + Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs but does not start or administer intravenous fluids + Assists physicians and nursing staff with procedures if needed + Documents patient interactions as needed + Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field + Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job + Works under immediate supervision + Performs other related duties as assigned + Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field + Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals + Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function + Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned Requirements and
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED preferred + Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required + 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred + Knowledge of spelling and medical terminology preferred + BLS Required.
Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation Working Conditions:
