Job Overview & Responsibilities:
The Data
Engineer
Intern will work directly with the Data
Platforms
team to lead triage, discovery, design, and development of data solutions to empower business decisions.
The right candidate would be a self-motivated, highly detail-oriented team-player excited to tackle organizational challenges to strategize and implement data driven solutions to enable the business to derive valuable insights.
You will work with experienced data analytics leaders, including dataanalysts
, engineers, data scientists, to
identify
and solve problems with data solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in data engineering.
The Data Engineer
Intern
will
be responsible for
developing, constructing, installing, and
maintaining
data architectures, databases, and large-scale processing systems
Integrate data from various sources and systems to create a unified and comprehensive view of the data.
Data
Security:
Implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
Monitoring and Maintenance:
Set up monitoring tools to track data pipeline performance and resolve issues proactively.
Documentation:
Maintain
clear and up-to-date documentation for data processes, data lineage, and system architecture
Collaboration:
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and support their projects
Qualifications
:
Preferred majors/minors in Computer Science, Informatics, Information
Systems
or other related fields
Proficiency
in data modeling, ETL development, and database management.
Strong programming skills - Design, coding,
debugging
and testing skills (Python)
Familiarity with data warehousing and data lake solutions
Experience with database technologies (Snowflake, AWS Redshift. GCP)
Experience working with APIs to collect and post data.
Expertise
to manipulate data through query languages.
Ability to design data integrations and implement data quality framework
Understanding of data privacy and security best practices

We are looking for enthusiastic students with ambition to go far.
Our full-time paid internship program will give you a chance to gain in-depth knowledge of what it is like to be a part of our fast-paced and innovative company.
Our interns have the unique chance to gain real work experience, whileparticipating
in skill-building workshops and interactive social activities throughout the internship assignment.
Our summer internship program will be in our El Segundo, CA headquarters and will run for
