Looking For A Change

Are you someone who wants to move beyond the traditional copywriting role, has experience in fast-paced environments, and wants to make a difference in the Arab American community? We are working on various public health initiatives to support the multi-generational community across California (specifically southern California / Orange County) and need a freelance copywriter / social media content producer who can work in both English and Arabic (MSA).

If this is interesting, this role might be for you. We are looking for someone who knows great copywriting and quality work.

At the same time, they can work with deadlines and budgets and want to help create communication campaigns that better our communities.

Who's SGA Marketing?
SGA Marketing is a nimble, mission-driven communications firm that focuses on public health, environmental and community-based issues. We help our clients (mostly local governments) turn policy into change at the community and individual levels.

We are a marketing firm, but we don't help our clients sell things. However, we believe those same tools can be used to improve the public good.

Responsibilities:

Create engaging and persuasive copy for various marketing materials, including print advertising, social media posts, and website content
Conduct thorough research on target audience and market trends to develop effective messaging strategies
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute content marketing campaigns
Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines
Optimize copy for search engine optimization (SEO) to improve organic visibility
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite or other design software to enhance copy with visuals and graphics

Experience:

Proven experience as a freelance copywriter or in a similar role
Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of writing samples across different mediums
Proficiency in copy editing and proofreading in both English and MSA (and ability to trans/create or adapt between the two languages)
Familiarity with social media marketing strategies and platforms
Knowledge of content creation best practices and trends
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or other design software is a plus
