    Grand Ridge Energy Center and Nelson Energy CenterSpend a day giving back to the community with our Volunteer Time Off programHave lunch with our CEO and Founder, Michael PolskyAttend a networking mixer to learn more about and engage with representatives from our various affinity groups (Womens Network, LGBTQ+, Black & Brown, Veterans Network, & more)Explore Chicago with your fellow internsOur program takes place from June August lasting for weeksABOUT THE INTERNSHIPThe Regulatory Affairs team monitors activity and advocates before state and federal economic regulators, transmission service providers and regional trade associations in the interest of Invenergys operating and development assets .

    An intern in this department will assist in the development, advocacy, implementation and monitoring of market rules and energy policy as applied to the construction, interconnection, and operation of Invenergys generation, transmission and battery storage portfolio.


    Specific responsibilities for an intern include:

    Monitor state energy policy initiatives as they pertain to regulatory proceedings in front of state public service commissionsDraft research, memos and other materials on energy topics for internal business groupsSpecial projects to support department goals or initiativesAnalyze how policy issues will impact business opportunities and provide updates and strategy recommendations to other internal business groupsAssist in obtaining regulatory approvals for Invenergy led initiatives and commercial transactionsAssist in development, advoc acy and implementation efforts on policy changes that will further the company's competitive position.

    Assist in data collection for market registration, project participation in energy and capacity marketsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSCurrently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelors degree program with an expected graduation date between May 2026 and December 2026.Majoring i n environmental, economics, or business-related degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0.Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSInterest in the renewable energy or clean energy sector.
    Comfortable working in an amorphous environment.
