Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Data Engineering Specialist to join our dynamic Digital Advisory team.

As a Junior Data Engineering Specialist, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and systems to support our data-driven initiatives.

You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval for our organization.


Responsibilities:


  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming structured and unstructured data from various sources
  • Data Modeling:
Develop data models and schemas to support data storage and analytics requirements, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity

  • ETL Processes:
Build and maintain Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to facilitate data integration, cleansing, and enrichment

  • Data Warehouse Management:
Assist in the design and maintenance of data warehouses and databases, including performance tuning and optimization

  • Data Quality Assurance:
Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to identify and resolve data issues and inconsistencies

  • Data Security:
Implement data security measures and best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data

  • Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software developers, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs

  • Documentation:
Document data engineering processes, workflows, and best practices, and contribute to technical documentation for reference and training purposes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, principles, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala for data manipulation and scripting.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL tools, and data integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.

Compensation Range:
$68, $91,786.00
