Position Overview

The Sales Assistant role at Holly Hunt Showroom is crucial for the smooth operations of the showroom. Responsibilities include collaborating with Sales Associates, Clients, Corporate Office, Outside Sales Associate, and Represented Vendors to ensure seamless order processing and production. Additionally, managing various logistics tasks for the showroom.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate Sales Associate
  • Maintain customer database and process new client information accurately
  • Handle credit card transactions and order releases efficiently
  • Coordinate freight charges for client orders and ensure shipment details are accurate
  • Assist in completing necessary forms and approvals for orders
  • Update and manage order status reports, communicate with clients on order updates, and expedite urgent orders
  • Follow up on payments and provide tracking information to clients
  • Initiate customer service claims and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed
  • Organize sales tools on the floor and replenish when necessary
  • Collaborate with the team and assist in various tasks as required
  • Engage with clients in the showroom and over the phone, providing necessary support
  • Conduct fabric shops and handle sample requests
  • Aid in mailers and eblasts distribution

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience (at least 2 years) in retail, design, or showroom setting, luxury background is a plus
  • Strong multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability to lift a certain amount of weight
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
