    Starting at $88,500 DOE + Bonus Potential Maverik/Kum & Go is hiring a Food Category Manager 2 to oversee P&L for our dispensed beverage category.

    This role will be responsible for decision making for core categories, contracts, programs, and product selection. If you have experience in category management and store level merchandising processes/systems, this could be a great fit for youWhat you'll do Generate new ideas and programs for the dispensed beverage categoryNegotiate contracts to support financial goalsMonitor operational opportunities and communicate with operations team on action plans for improvement of MPS, waste, and expensesDevelop and execute annual category business plans, SWOT analysis, sales/margin analysis, and sales/margin growth initiativesDevelop product assortment, merchandising, pricing, promotions, planograms, and placements to improve sales and marginStay current on regulation, industry trends/changes through vendor relationships, category focused seminars, and trade showsEstablish excellent communication across all levels of the organization and supplier networkWhat we're looking forAbility to influence and build relationshipsResults-focused to accomplish goals and build team effectivenessDesire to provide customer-focused support to storesCollaborative and works well in a team environmentExcellent communication skillsOther key requirements 3-4 years of experience in product marketing, category buying, procurement, or a related fieldFood service experience in a corporate environment requiredOperational experience in retail preferredAbility to travel as neededRelocation to Des Moines, IA or Salt Lake City, UT area requiredLeadership CompetenciesCommunication: Delivers clear, effective communication and listens to othersConceptual/
