Job Description:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver to join our team.

The Driver will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's mission by ensuring the safe and timely transportation of personnel, materials, and resources to various locations.

This role is essential for the smooth operation of our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Safe Transportation:

Safely operate and maintain a organization's vehicle to transport personnel, materials, and equipment to different locations, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Asset Management:

Responsible for maintaining the vehicle in good working condition, including regular maintenance, cleaning, and reporting any issues or necessary repairs to the appropriate personnel.

Route Planning:
Plan efficient routes to ensure timely delivery of personnel and materials to their destinations. Optimize routes to minimize fuel consumption and environmental impact.

Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant information. Keep track of transportation expenses and receipts for reimbursement.

Communication:
Provide clear and timely communication with the organization's staff to coordinate transportation needs. Be responsive to last-minute changes in transportation schedules.

Assist with Loading/Unloading:

Assist in loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed, ensuring the safe handling and securing of items during transportation.

Safety:
Prioritize safety by adhering to all safety regulations, protocols, and guidelines. Conduct regular safety checks of the vehicle and ensure that passengers wear seat belts.

Represent the Organization:

Be a professional and courteous ambassador for the non-profit organization when interacting with the community, partner organizations, and beneficiaries.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
Ability to safely operate a vehicle in various weather conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and priorities.
A commitment to the mission and values of the nonprofit organization.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry moderate loads.
Stamina to spend extended periods driving.
Comfort with regular vehicle maintenance and inspections.
