W- Professorship for Public Law, especially Constitutional Law and a Basic Subject:
to be filled as soon as possible at the German University for Administrative Sciences Speyer.

The University of Speyer is an interdisciplinary postgraduate university. As part of a supplementary administrative studies program, it trains legal trainees, particularly in the legal preparatory service.

The further range of courses includes an administrative postgraduate program, a Master's program (LL.M.) State and Administration, as well as Master's programs in Public Administration and Science Management.

In addition, it offers an extensive further education program for executives in the public sector.


The successful candidate will represent the field of Public Law, specifically Constitutional Law and a Basic Subject, in research, teaching (possibly also in English), and further education.

He or she will be responsible for the development and implementation of teaching and further education concepts for legislative theory at the University of Speyer.


It is expected that the candidate has research interests in various areas of Public Law and has a profile that demonstrates the ability for methodologically demanding, internationally recognized research, as well as interdisciplinary networking on the topics of the professorship.

The basic subject to be represented may include comparative law and/or foreign public law, legal philosophy, or legal history. Knowledge in security law and/or legislative drafting is desirable.

An interest in current issues of administrative transformation is required; practical experience in the public sector or the judiciary is advantageous if it complements the job profile in a meaningful way.
