Sunrider International in Torrance, CA, is looking for an enthusiastic Tax Administrative Assistant to account for affiliates' U.S.

domestic and foreign bank account activity, prepare internal head office financial statements, prepare and review Excel spreadsheets, provide sales tax assistance, and provide secretarial and administrative assistance.

These are essential tax, accounting, and administrative functions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

_A successful Tax Administrative Assistant must spend over 50% of work time on and satisfactorily perform these general categories of duties, which require significant discretion and independent judgment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
_


  • Perform daytoday treasury operations, including ACH/ Wire & Check requests.
  • Account for interentity receivables and payables. Provide similar functions for the principals' banking needs.
  • Assist in preparing unaudited financial statements for the principals.
  • Account for various interentity promissory notes, including interest and principal payments.
  • Assist in preparing detailed schedules for the principals' federal and state tax returns, including their general ledgers.
  • Ultrahigh net worth environment.
  • Perform basic tax research as necessary.
  • Prepare various other regulatory and tax filings.
  • Maintain property tax schedules.
  • Account for U.S. domestic and foreign bank account activity for affiliates and principals. Prepare detailed weekly cash report.
  • Prepare internal head office financial statements, including preparing and posting journal entries for investment in foreign affiliates.
  • Prepare and assist in reviewing tax and accounting schedules for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare quarterly U.S. economic activity reports.
  • Account for numerous domestic and foreign bank accounts.
  • Assist with sales & use tax processing.
  • Secretarial and administrative assistance, including copying, certified mailings, typing, and filing.
  • No significant decisionmaking authority.
  • No supervisory responsibility.

Education and/or Experience:


  • Associate's degree desirable.
  • 35 years of previous experience required.

Skills and Abilities:


  • Must have excellent English spoken, reading, and writing skills. Mandarin speaking, reading, and writing skills are desirable but not necessary.
  • Ability to prioritize job tasks to change priorities in a deadlinedriven, fastpaced work environment.
  • High degree of integrity; able to handle confidential information with absolute discretion.
  • Detailoriented with high accuracy, including data entry and mathematical aptitude. Highly organized, adapting quickly to changing priorities, and simultaneously handling multiple projects with total accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Thrive in a deadlinedriven environment and can respond well to changing priorities, workflows, and information.
  • Analytical Skills: Possess basic mathematical skills, critical thinking, and problemsolving skills.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, QuickBooks, and Thomson Reuters individual tax software. Ability to perform Google and other technical information searches and enter information on various corporate and government websites.
