DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Laundry Operator, you will be responsible for various tasks within the production process, including but not limited to:

  • Sorting linens (sheets, towels, blankets, gowns) and placing them in appropriate bins for washing.
  • Operating automatic ironers by feeding washed linens into the machine and collaborating with a coworker to catch and fold them at the other end.
  • Taking inventory of items, packing them into carts, and labeling them for delivery.
  • Performing other laundry operation tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Experience

  • No experience is necessary. Training is provided.

Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • No specific education, certifications, or licenses are needed

Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to follow schedules and complete work on time.
  • Capable of working in a fastpaced environment.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Flexibility to perform various general labor duties as needed.
  • Commitment to working safely at all times.

Working Conditions

  • The work environment is a nonclimatecontrolled warehouse/plant setting with varying temperatures.
  • The plant operates 7 days a week, requiring flexibility to work weekends and major holidays.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for various production tasks.

The job entails:

  • Performing tasks involving repetitive motion.
  • Physical activities such as pulling, pushing, bending, twisting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Reaching above the head and with hands and arms, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, and talking/hearing.
  • Close and longdistance vision, and use of fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling wheeled carts weighing up to 600 pounds.
