Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists based in Coon Rapids, MN, and who enjoy working in an education setting Soliant is working with a large, suburban school district and is seeking a contract provider for this school year.

SLP-CCC candidates are preferred; Clinical Fellows will be supervised by an Agency appointed Clinical Fellowship mentor.

Primary responsibilities as follows:

Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
Provide reports of a students progress to parents.
Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.

Applicants will either be assigned to a K-5 caseload, or to a Middle and High school caseload. Elementary school assignments typically include about 45-55 students, while secondary age groups will have caseloads of 55 to 60, due to a portion of students being on consult only.

Up-to-date knowledge of MinnesotaSpecial Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings
Professionalism and accountability

Requirements:

Minnesota SLP license from the Department of Health
PELSB license (Tier 2, 3 or 4)
