- Assess and diagnose students with speech, voice, or language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services and interventions to improve students' speech and language skills.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate speech therapy with educational objectives.
- Educate parents and school staff on ways to support the communication skills of students at home and in school.
- Maintain detailed records of students' therapy sessions and progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on the speech and language goals for students.
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
- Valid Illinois license in Speech Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
