    Responsibilities :


    Responsible for the overall strategy and execution of designing, developing, managing, delivering and maintaining business unit/segment training programs, vendor relationships and performance.

    Plans and aligns training programs with corporate and business unit/segment vision and initiatives.
    Recognized learning and development subject matter expert for assigned business unit/segment(s). Utilizes technical and functional knowledge, adult learning methodologies, learning modalities, visual design tools, assessment methodologies, etc. to evaluate learning needs based on audience, determine modality and create appropriate learning content. May participate on cross-functional teams with internal business partners.
    Responsible for overall curriculum quality and development for assigned business unit/segment.

    Identifies and secures technical resources to provide information on policies, technical procedures, business processes, and related practices as needed to support curriculum needs, including New Hire Training, role-specific training, and business unit/segment training, etc.

    Identifies, analyzes, designs, develops, delivers, reinforces, evaluates, and maintains all learning content and reference materials for assigned business unit/segment.

    Manages and oversees curriculum development for entire business unit/segment, including planning, needs analysis, audience identification, resource requirements, risk mitigation, and schedule.

    Develops and maintains effective business relationships with learning-related vendors. Sets appropriate expectations with vendors, monitors quality and accuracy, and measures vendor service level adherence.

    Responsible for ensuring the technical curriculum across the business unit/segment is accurate, current, and readily available for delivery and/or facilitation.

    This includes managing and coordinating the development, maintenance, delivery, and evaluation of curriculum.

    Ensures curriculum and training programs are successfully integrated into the business process so they become the business as usual (BAU) model.

    Maintains effective and ongoing communication with business unit/segment staff, internal and external business partners, and leadership.

    Collaborates effectively within the business unit/segment and across the organization to remain current on trends, share new information and best practices, and identify impacts to the technical curriculum.

    Is actively engaged in and provides leadership in the Learning Community of Practice (LCoP).
    Gathers, organizes and analyzes business results regarding curriculum data to identify and report performance, trends, and opportunities. Makes recommendations regarding areas of improvement. Creates reports and communicates results with business unit/segment leadership.

    Participates in relevant professional industry groups to remain current and increase knowledge of industry, legal implications, technology/tools, process improvements and best practices.

    Travels occasionally in order to deliver or participate in training, special assignments, and/or travel between office locations.


    Qualifications:


    Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following: property & casualty insurance, underwriting operations, curriculum management, or instructional design/development.

    Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following: technical underwriting knowledge, coaching/mentoring others, identifying learning opportunities, and/or presenting technical information.

    Experience leading a team, project and or business unit/segment initiative.
    Experience leveraging adult learning methodologies, learning modalities, and visual design tools.
    Experience collaborating, building effective relationships, and influencing peers and key stakeholders gained through previous work experiences

    Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and leadership throughout the enterprise.

    Experience collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends, establishing facts, and recommending solutions.
    Experience with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Excel or transferable software packages.
    Strong organizational and time management skills gained through previous work experience.
    Experience multi-tasking and prioritizing previous work assignments to ensure deadlines are met.
    Industry designation(s) and/or certification(s) from recognized professional training organizations.
    Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
    Valid driver's license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.

    Physical essential functions:

    ability to work 40 hours in an office environment (sitting, standing, on a computer, etc.), operate office related technology (computer, phone, etc.), travel as required.
