OVERVIEW:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for every detail and record of the payments that are due to be made to creditors.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES PERFORMED:
- Accurately and timely process invoices based upon the agreed terms.
- Ensure invoices are properly coded to the General Ledger.
- Verify, identify and communicate discrepancies to internal and external parties.
- Review and address aged receipts on the open receipt report.
- Reconcile vendor statement to open receipt report and AP aging.
- Prepares monthly task as assigned.
- Maintain files and desk in an organized matter.
- Adhere to the concept of team, aligning to and supporting the company's goals and sharing knowledge.
- Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers and/or government legislations, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any nonconformity issues or violations found.
- Compliance to all employee job safety requirements and regulations as required by company policies, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any nonconformity issues or violations found.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent relevant experience and education.
- 3 years' accounting experience; Accounts Payable experience; Knowledge of general accounting procedures, specifically those related to accounts payable.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required
Preferred:
- Minimum qualifications plus college level accounting classes or Accounting Degree and Manufacturing experience.

Pay:
$24.50 per hour
