Responsibilities:
- Pharmacy technicians will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or physician. You will coordinate workflow with the nursing staff to meet the needs of our patients.
- Proficient in sterile technique and infection control during IV compounding.
- Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals through automation.
- Other nonclinical tasks would include "out date" inventory tracking, preparing and packaging compounded products for delivery, maintaining a sterile aseptic environment at all times.
- Working with hazardous chemotherapy products in a "Chemogard" Hood.
- Working with nonhazardous products in a laminar flow hood.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Phone skills to include a compassionate tone while interacting will all patients, care givers and team members.
- Performs all other duties/responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years as Pharmacy Technician
- Organization: Able to provide order and structure to daily processes and work environment. Demonstrates good organizational skills and ability to prioritize daily work.
- Problem Sensitivity: Effective in identifying and analyzing problems.
