    Established in 1964, Custom Materials, Inc. is a proven source for the custom fabrication of electrical insulation and components. We personally serve major manufacturers and suppliers of electrical power generation equipment, distribution equipment, and controls. Components range from the insulation used in transformers, motors and motor controls to precision parts for the aerospace, military, medical, renewable energy, and other demanding industries.

    The company is seeking to hire a CNC Programmer with MasterCam background to create and modify 3,4, and 5 axis machines. The position offers an individual to use their full skill set to advance the interests of the company. The position also offers full benefits including healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, short term disability, 401k retirement and profit sharing plans.

    • Edit, set up, and operate CNC equipment to produce product according to print specifications; programming capabilities a plus
    • Troubleshoot programs including speeds, feeds and tooling
    • Verify and document in process work orders
    • Ensure quality product by using necessary measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers and pi tapes
    • Basic maintenance on equipment
    • Meet production deadlines by following manufacturing schedule and procedures
    Requirements:
    • High school graduate with Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree (BSME) preferred
    • MasterCam, Solidworks, and/or Autocad background to create and modify 3,4, and 5 axis CNC milling and turning machines
    • 3-4+ years experience with CNC and CAD/CAM programming software
    • SolidWorks or AutoCad preferred
    • Knowledge to design tooling, fixtures, and provide job quoting
    • Advanced written and oral communication skills
    • Blueprint Reading is a must
    • Good Organizational Skills
