Position:
Seasonal Maintenance Custodial Technician (with possibility of being hired in)

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Custodial Technician is responsible for the general upkeep, repair, and cleanliness of buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation and upkeep of facilities while ensuring a clean and safe environment for students, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities in the following areas:

Electrical Maintenance:

Diagnose and repair basic electrical issues such as switches, outlets, plugs, cables, and lighting systems.
Identify and report unsafe electrical conditions to appropriate personnel.

HVAC & Plumbing Maintenance:

Perform basic diagnostic and repair tasks for plumbing leaks, breaks, and clogged lines.
Replace seals and minor parts as needed, and maintain drinking fountains.

Painting:

General Maintenance:

Conduct various maintenance and repair tasks including carpentry, masonry, and minor structural repairs.
Clean debris from gutters, troubleshoot and adjust locks, and service ventilation units.

Facility Support:

Assist in moving furniture and equipment. Complete service requests, update logs, and participate in special projects as directed.

Cleaning and Sanitization:

Clean and sanitize interior and exterior entrances, restrooms, and other areas as needed throughout the day.
Replenish supplies and consumables to ensure availability for staff and visitors.

Event Setup and Tear Down:

Assist with setting up and tearing down for events, ensuring spaces are prepared and restored efficiently.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in maintenance, custodial work, or related field preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC painting, and carpentry techniques.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Stamina to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, bending, and kneeling.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
