Responsibilities:

Supervise the daily activities of assigned staff.

  • Determine, coordinate and supervise daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate assigned staff on performance expectations. Provide input for hiring and termination procedures.
  • Coordinate patient care with other members of the team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and desired patient outcomes.
  • Assist with quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • May perform the duties of a technologist as department staffing levels require. Creates work schedules to ensure all areas of diagnostic imaging are covered 24/
  • Ensure that adequate supply levels are maintained. Perform quarterly audits of all supply closets to review stock vs. workload. Make any changes to supply levels if necessary.

Requirements:


Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, Registered Vascular Specialist, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer also accepted.
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certified Nuclear Med Technologist, Non-Certified Radiologic Technician, Computed Tomography also accepted.
  • Texas Medical Board (TMB) Medical Radiologic Technologist General Certificate (TMB-GMR) is required in addition to NMTCB.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiology credentialed from the American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. CI, VI, M, CT, MR, NM, S, VS also accepted.

  • Texas Medical Board (TMB) Medical Radiologic Technologist General Certificate (TMB-GMR) is required if ARRT credential is in R, CI, VI, M, CT or NM.
  • Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program preferred.

Education:


  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific
experience required.
