Job SummaryRheoMed is seeking a Medical Assistant who will assist with care coordination between RCMG and NSIPA.
This will include keeping track of high risk patients, coordinating post hospital follow up visits, coordinating patient care with outside specialists, and performing surveys with patients in the practice as directed by the RCMG and NSIPA team.

Responsibilities:
- Complies with NISPA policies, procedures, and protocols
- Understands, adapts to, applies, and communicates policy and procedural changes
- Ensures attendance and punctuality when scheduled, understanding that regular attendance is an essential function of this position
- Problem solver who approaches challenges optimistically and uses problem solving skills to diffuse problems and identify solutions
- Excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to interact with patients from a variety of backgrounds and cultures
- Maintains positive relationships with both patients and fellow staff
- Assists with scheduling appointments
- Checks patients in for appointments
- Examines patients and documents patient needs and complaints
- Arranges for and assists patients in understanding instructions for medical services
- Accurately files patient lab results and other documents
- Tracks timeline of services given to patients
- Keeps track of inventory of supplies and equipment, reporting needs to the Administrator
- Sends information between departments and medical offices
- Performs tasks as directed by supervisor
- Maintains confidentiality of patient records and employee information
- Maintains professional relationships and boundaries with patients

1. 1 year of experience working in a medical office.
2. 1 year of renal care experience.
- Bilingual (Ideally in Spanish)
- U.S. Work Authorization
- High School Diploma or Its Equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification
- CPR Certification
Pay:
$ $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
