Essential Duties

Collaboration and Multimedia Project Management:


  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and deploy multimedia elements that enhance teaching and learning through technology.
  • Serve as producer/director for various multimedia experiences, managing all aspects of production, postproduction, and archiving.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate media materials, and modify as needed to achieve educational objectives.

Design and Creation:


  • Design, create, and deliver engaging multimedia and webbased graphics, videos, and sound elements that adhere to brand standards.
  • Develop layout/template designs, concepts, and select appropriate illustrative, photographic, and sound materials.

Technical Production:


  • Coordinate and perform technical duties in the production of videos, broadcasts, podcasts, streaming, and other productions, ensuring seamless image and sound sequencing.

Audio and Visual Post-Production:


  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, web page design, and video/audio production, including media conversion, postprocessing, and basic video shooting setups.
  • Operate video editing products to edit, add special effects, curate compositions, and guide the overall design of video productions.
  • Support and build training components for the technical upskilling of the student team to support podcasting services.

Technology Testing, Training, and Maintenance:


  • Support inperson operations of studios, helping configure, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot multimedia studio technologies as needed.
  • Stay informed on technology directions, initiatives, and trends within the multimedia scope to provide innovative ideas, guidance, and recommendations.
  • Mentor and crosstrain team members in multimedia and web graphics areas, encouraging a learning culture and skill diversification within the team.

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Media Communications, Film or Video Production, Design, or Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, or a closely related field AND two years of progressive experience GRAPHICS (Proficiency) Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator - or - VIDEO (Proficiency) video/audio production.

OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with 2D and 3D imaging softwares.
  • Experience with web design standards and Drupal.
  • Demonstrated operational knowledge of video, sound, and podcasting production/recording equipment.
  • Experience and ability to teach multimedia best practices to upskill internal and external audiences
  • Experience with teaching and learning frameworks to make technology easy to use and accessible to diverse audiences

Working Environment

  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer; bending, stooping, reaching, lifting and pushing objects of varying weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties.
  • May include exposure to external environment/climate conditions including walking on uneven surfaces, climbing and high temperatures. setup.
  • Regular review of completed tasks.

Tempe Campus 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Hybrid or flexible schedule as determined with supervisor and within ASU/Enterprise Technology guidelines
