- Improves efficiency of the operations & maintenance interface for Acrylonitrile.
- Manages the work identification process.
- Reviews and approves all corrective maintenance requests. Challenges emergency and quick-fix requests
- Responsible for screening requests for correctness, accuracy and justification.
- Ensures that pertinent information is entered on the requests for planning purposes.
- Gains clarity on requests by making field/site inspections and/or consulting with the Requestor as needed.
- Ensures PSM compliance with the Work Order Process.
- Ensures that all operations requirements have been met to efficiently execute work. This includes de-pressurization, decontamination, and lock-out tag-out.
- Ensures that all requirements have been met for return to service of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with process safety, safety, environmental, and plant policies and procedures.
- Provide daily leadership for operating and maintenance employees through influence and coaching.
- Responsible for Work Order Backlog management and weekly prioritization of maintenance activities within Acrylo.
- Works with Scheduler to review and agree on Proactive Schedule (2 week,1 month) (1 Week Hard Week and 2 Week Soft week).
- Works with MTC/IE Supervisor to validate Reactive Schedule for next days work.
- Issuance of safe work permits for confined space, hot work when required.
- Operate within budgetary constraints while meeting the unit goals.
- Communicate departmental issues affecting yard wide operations as needed.
- Strong commitment to on and off-the-job safety
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and resolve conflicts with composure, grace and a positive, helpful attitude.
- Strong knowledge of general operations safety, and process safety policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of MOC work processes
- Skilled in use Maximo and MS Excel

- Self-Starter – High-Level Individual that must interface with operators and maintenance technicians to resolve equipment problems. This individual must be a critical thinker, problem solver, people motivator, and have the ability to find innovative solutions. This individual must be able to anticipate potential roadblocks and develop alternate strategies for safe and cost-effective execution of tasks.
- 10 years' experience in an industrial environment; preferably a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience as an operator or millwright
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Minimum Required: High School Diploma
