    Summary

    Performs duties related to the daily operation of the bank's core data processing system and related components.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Processes exception items, overdrafts and returned checks.
    • Prints and mails notices, loan statements, and special instruction statements.
    • Assists branches with operational and data processing functions.
    • Performs daily system functions including but not limited to account maintenance.
    • Performs check back on various system changes.
    • Processes reclamations.
    • Processes unauthorized disputes.
    • Safe Deposit Box history delete maintenance.
    • SSI/SSA verification requests.
    • Sets up and maintains recurring transactions.
    • Works with internal and external customers in doing research on deposits including cash letter adjustments.
    • Performs duties related to debit cards that may including debit card ordering, general maintenance, plastics reissuance review, electronic journal download, report retrieval and general branch support.
    • Ensures all debit card disputes, charge back request, fraud, card declines, lost/stolen issues are processed in a timely manner while maintaining quality control and productivity standards, and ensuring that established guidelines are appropriately followed. Works with Security Officer on debit card fraud.
    • Orders foreign currency and processes foreign items
    • Prepares and mails CD Interest checks.
    • Inputs savings bond interest into Precision system.
    • Updates rates weekly, monthly, quarterly, and as needed.
    • Performs year end processing including corrections, entering split interest, loan statements and notices Provides back up support to other positions within the Operations Department.
    • Adheres to all State and Federal Banking regulations.

    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Prefer a minimum of at least two years of banking experience.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Skills

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

    Must be able to work a flexible work schedule – generally 8 am – 5pm. Uncontrollable situations may require staying later than 5 pm.
