We are looking for a
Supply Chain Analyst for our plant in
Carlisle, PA.

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible to manage the supply chain (raw material ordering through finished good scheduling) for the various plant processes (mixing, conventional, ERH, and conversion).

This position will utilize several tools in SAP for exception monitoring, inventory control to maximize turns, and minimize raw material, semi and finished goods shortages.

The individual will meet with vendor sales representatives and work closely with customer service.

They will be responsible to cycle count and verify the inventory accuracy of all the expensed, raw and semi materials.

The individual will perform raw material and production exception monitoring in SAP to align raw materials with production orders in the plant.

They may work closely with the Portfolio Owners on vendor performance and contact them when SQR's need to be issued (Supplier Quality Reports).

They will be required to cross train monthly with the MRP Controller-Raw Materials and MRP Supervisor and cover vacations during the year.

Travel could be required to visit vendors, for interplant visits, training, kaizen events, etc.


Responsibilities:


  • Cycle count various expensed, semi and raw materials on a regular basis.
  • Raw material exception monitoring in SAP to determine when to order raw materials, adjust order/delivery dates, and convert requisitions to purchase orders.
  • Finished goods and semi material exception monitoring in SAP to schedule production at the work centers and to determine any raw material or work in process shortages.
  • Backup the MRP Controller-Raw Materials position. This includes scheduling and purchasing the raw materials required in Plant
  • Backup the MRP Supervisor position. This includes scheduling Plant 4 and supervising the Raw Materials warehouse.
  • Backup the Plant 4 Purchasing Specialist position. This includes all purchase products for Plant 4, 5, 6, and Maintenance.
  • Run and distribute daily shipment/pack report and inventory level reports.
  • Close completed production orders in SFIS and adjust dates on past due production orders.
  • Address delivery issues (truck or rail).
  • Review SAP settings on products (Raw, WIP, FG), adjust as necessary to optimize turns while still avoiding shortages.
  • Order and track expense items as needed.
  • Monitor, adjust and close production orders based on signals in SAP and capabilities/performance of the physical processes.
  • Fix SAP production order variances weekly and perform costing for Plant
  • Track, monitor and adjust sustainability metrics for the production plant.
  • Confirm orders and notify vendors when loads arrive.
  • Serve as secondary contact point for customer service representatives, raw material vendors, inventory control, purchasing and transportation.
  • Assist in maintaining virtual Kanban system used in the Plant 4 Mixing Department.
  • Assist in the correction of shop floor errors, shop floor ticket backouts and other required adjustment to the system
  • Completing the Month end spreadsheets for all Plant 4 production areas.
  • Preform yearend physical inventory duties

Requirements:


Educational Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • 35 years of experience dealing with purchasing and scheduling is preferred.
