The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology is currently seeking a

Research Assistant in the field of telecommunications/ communication technology (m/f/d)

in full-time with 40.1 hours/week.

Your responsibilities

  • Participation in research, development, and implementation of research projects
  • Design, simulation, and optimization of communication protocols in the field of wireless optical backbone systems
  • Implementation of lowerlayer and network protocols on embedded platforms
  • Conducting system tests in the laboratory
  • Scientific publications in the field, presentation of results in professional articles and conferences
Your profile

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology or comparable engineering sciences
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in communication technology and telecommunications, ideally in the field of wireless optical transmission
  • Very good experience with simulation software (Matlab, Simulink, Omnet++)
  • Good knowledge of programming in C/C++, Python, Matlab
  • Interest in research activities, very good English skills in spoken and written form, and independent, goaloriented work
