Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is recruiting for an Intellectual Property Paralegal with 5+ years of experience in Patent Prosecution to support the Intellectual Property Group of a prestigious law firm in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

Drafting, formatting, and submitting patent and trademark applications and related legal documents
Conducting research and gathering foreign references and non-patent literature documents to support the patent application process??
Coordinating with foreign teams to file Patent and Trademark applications outside the United States
Reviewing and managing incoming communications
Monitor the progress of non-US patent applications and identifying relevant prior art for citation in the US patent application.
Preparing information disclosure statements and other prior art identification and citation materials
Maintaining accurate records of patent and trademark ownership and perfecting chain of title for U.S. patents and trademarks
Providing status reports to clients and stakeholders regarding the progress of their respective patent and trademark portfolios
Keeping up-to-date with current IP rules and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
Obtaining necessary authentication documents, such as certified copies, for filing
Arranging translations as necessary to support patent and trademark applications.

Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree required
5+ years of Patent Prosecution experience required
Shows attention to detail and possesses good organizational skills
Can prioritize tasks efficiently
Knows when to work independently and when to seek guidance
Functions well as part of a team and independently??
Is dependable and reliable
Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and is capable of communicating effectively
Maintains open and effective communication with colleagues
Can handle multiple tasks simultaneously while still maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Pay Details: $70,000 to $90,000 based on experience

Our benefit offerings provide employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. In addition, our associates may be eligible for paid leave including Paid Sick Leave or any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law, as well as Holiday pay where applicable.

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
