Material Handler

We have an immediate opening for a Material Handler to work in our Clean Room Operation at our 621 Brentwood Drive facility.

The hours are 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

Load, unload, and move materials within the plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties. Employees may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Read and understand work order/BOM and or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials and supplies needed for production.
  • Operate industrial lift truck or electric hoist to move materials and products to and from warehouse and stage them at the work center in a manner that will be efficient to the operation.
  • Load and unload materials needed for production from skids onto roll lift carts, platforms etc. and stage at machinery.
  • Navigate shop floor data collection system and able to run the necessary reports to ensure that all materials needed for production are issued or withdrawn from jobs and that all finished products are received to the jobs to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Accurately fill out all required paperwork and forms, attach identifying tags or labels to materials, cases, bales, or other containers.
  • Assist machine operators with scrap removal, loading cartons onto pallets, relieving machines for break and lunch periods etc.
  • Clean work area, empty trash dumpsters at end of shift, move recycled cardboard, cores, wood etc. to the proper locations for recycling.
  • Assist Shipping and Receiving Department with loading, unloading, and relocating materials throughout the facility when needed.
  • Perform all work procedures according to established Quality Management & Environmental Management Systems.
  • Perform job responsibilities and tasks in compliance with Company policies, procedures and safety and environmental regulations.

Essential Skills:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of educations and experience.
  • Tow motor certification required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to multitask and remain detail oriented.

Physical Requirements:

  • Employees are required to lift/carry up to 55 lbs. and to push/pull up to 62lbs.
