Nurture Collective focuses on the interaction of the complexities of maternal-infant mental health and early childhood intervention. We provide various services, including occupational, physical, and speech therapy services, lactation support, feeding therapy, parent-and-baby groups, etc. This BIPOC-owned, female-led company centers on social-emotional development in addressing developmental delays.
Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration:
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner using our payroll
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Address payroll inquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies.
Recruitment and On-boarding:
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings,
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Coordinate preemployment checks, including background screenings and reference checks.
Employee Relations/Performance Management:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HRrelated inquiries, policies, and procedures.
- Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent manner.
- Assist with creation, implementation, and administration of a performance review program.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.
HR Policies and Compliance:
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation, including personnel files and HRIS updates.
Benefits/Leave of Absence Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Coordinate with benefits providers and ensure accurate and timely processing of benefitsrelated tasks.
- Administer state and federal leaves of absence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3+years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on payroll,
- Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Must have reliable transportation and ability to commute to various offices periodically.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Detailoriented with strong organizational and timemanagement abilities.
- Proficiency in HR/Payroll software and MS Office Suite.
- HR certification (i.e. SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours:
No more than 40 per week
